The 2019 Work Summary Meeting of the Silkworm Seed Branch of the Chinese Sericultural Society Was Held in Qingzhou.

　　On the morning of December 29, the 2019 Work Summary and 2020 Work Plan Meeting of the Silkworm Seed Branch of the Chinese Sericultural Society was held at the Yinzuo Jiayue Hotel in Qingzhou City. The meeting was attended by Feng Huaishong, Chairman of the Silkworm Seed Branch; Vice Chairmen Fang Dewen, Zhou Chengwei, Huang Hongyan, Li Xisheng, and Lei Ting; representatives of several vice chairmen, including Wang Qingguo, Yang Wen, and Shao Yunhua; as well as silkworm seed production experts from Jiangsu, Guangxi, and Shandong provinces. Also in attendance to provide guidance were Shen Xingjia, Secretary-General and Executive Council Member of the Chinese Sericultural Society; Zhao Ruixue, Section Chief of the Fruit and Tea Station of the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; and Feng Guodong, Chairman of Shandong Guangtong Silkworm Seed Group.

　　Zhao Ruixue, Chief of the Fruit and Tea Station of the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, provided an overview of the sericulture industry in Shandong Province. Secretary-General Shen Xingjia, on behalf of the Chinese Sericultural Society, commended the Sericultural Seed Branch for its achievements since its establishment and for its work in 2019, and offered suggestions for its future activities. President Feng Huaishong delivered a summary report on the branch’s principal activities in 2019 and reviewed the financial report since the branch’s inception. In addition, a detailed discussion was held with the attendees on the Sericultural Seed Branch’s key work plan for 2020, resulting in the finalization of the branch’s 2020 work plan.

　　Following the conclusion of the conference, participants toured Guangtong Group’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the automated acid-immersion workshop, the intelligent male–female pupa-sorting machine, and the automated boxing workshop, where they observed cutting-edge technologies and equipment. Attendees unanimously agreed that Guangtong Group’s achievements and innovative approaches in the mechanization and automation of silkworm egg production are highly commendable and worthy of study and emulation. They concluded that the conference had been well worth the trip and had yielded substantial benefits.
