The Sericulture Research Institute of the Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Conducts a Research Visit to Guangtong Group

On the morning of May 15, a five-member delegation led by Qing Xuegang, a post expert on the Sichuan Provincial Sericulture Innovation Team and Director of the Research Center for Silkworm Disease Prevention and Control and Healthy Sericulture, visited Guangtong Group to conduct an on-site survey and inspection of artificial-feed sericulture and mechanized production. The delegation was received and held discussions with Fang Dewen, Chang Wenyong, Xu Shanting, Xu Fuwei, Guo Zhaoyi, and Sun Tingju from the Group.

The research delegation visited the mechanized workshop at the production headquarters and the manual-feed sericulture site at the group headquarters, where they exchanged views on issues related to the mechanization of sericulture production and its innovative development. Subsequently, the two sides held an in-depth symposium.

During the symposium, the research delegation viewed short films introducing Guangtong Group and artificial-feed sericulture. Subsequently, Fang Dewen welcomed the delegation, noting that Guangtong has enjoyed a long-standing cooperative relationship with the Sichuan Provincial Sericultural Research Institute, characterized by robust collaboration in both technical exchanges and the sharing of silkworm germplasm resources. He expressed gratitude for the Institute’s longstanding support and assistance to Guangtong. Director Qing Xuegang then shared insights on environmental control, disinfection and disease prevention, and variety breeding in artificial-feed sericulture, emphasizing the need for comprehensive, multi-faceted cooperation moving forward to drive innovative development in the sericulture industry.
