Relevant leaders from Weifang and Qingzhou City Conduct a Research Visit to Guangtong

On May 10, a delegation led by Zhang Shoubing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Weifang Municipal Government; Wei Xili, Researcher at the Office for Promoting the Weifang National Agricultural Comprehensive Demonstration Zone; Chen Wei, Vice Mayor of the Qingzhou Municipal Government; and Zheng Dongpeng, Director of the Qingzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, visited Guangtong Group for an inspection and research tour. The delegation was accompanied by Lian Haigang and Fang Dewen from the Group. The delegation first toured the on-site facility for silkworm rearing using artificial feed at the Industrial Research Institute, where they exchanged views on rearing conditions and industry prospects. They then proceeded to the Group’s cold storage facility to learn about silkworm seed varieties and export activities. Following the visit, the delegation expressed appreciation for Guangtong’s production, operations, and overall development in the silkworm seed sector, and recommended that the company further explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of Qingzhou’s silk industry, intensify promotion of Guangtong silkworm seeds as the very origin of silk, and continue to strengthen and expand the business so as to lead the sericulture industry toward sustained and positive growth.
