On the afternoon of June 2, Liu Yun, Secretary of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, visited Guangtong Group for an inspection and research tour, accompanied by Qingzhou Mayor Tian Yongquan, Vice Mayor Chen Wei, and other leaders. Fang Dewen, Chairman of Guangtong Group, first provided an overview of the company’s century-long history and its current operations in silkworm seed production and marketing. Subsequently, Secretary Liu and his delegation toured the artificial-feed silkworm-rearing workshop to examine the practice of rearing silkworms on artificial feed. They gained a detailed understanding of Guangtong Group’s major silkworm varieties, their areas of promotion, silkworm seed exports, artificial-feed silkworm rearing, and silk products, and commended the company for its continuous efforts to deepen development, drive innovation, and lead the high-quality development of the sericulture industry.
