Peng Jiang, Chairman of Sichuan New Silk Road Cocoon & Silk Co., Ltd., led a three-member delegation to Guangtong for an inspection and exchange.
On the afternoon of September 12, Peng Jiang, Chairman of Sichuan New Silk Road Cocoon & Silk Co., Ltd., along with General Manager Ye Jiabin and Technical Director Tian Yongping, paid a visit to Guangtong for inspection and exchange. They were accompanied by Fang Dewen, Huang Haiye, and Chang Wenyong from the Group Company. The delegation first toured the artificial-feed silkworm-rearing workshop to examine the cultivation of different artificial-feed varieties, their varietal characteristics, and the mechanized equipment used in feed processing. Subsequently, they convened a symposium in the second-floor conference room, where Fang Dewen provided an overview of Guangtong’s recent sericulture seed production and business operations, as well as its future development direction. Tian Yongping of Sichuan New Silk Road Cocoon & Silk Co., Ltd. outlined the main objectives of this visit: first, expressing gratitude for Guangtong Group’s strong support in supplying spring and late-autumn silkworm seeds this year; second, requesting Guangtong’s coordination and resolution of the demand for overwintering silkworm seed varieties for spring use in 2025; and third, seeking an agreement with Guangtong by December of this year on the seed-planning for autumn 2025 and spring 2026. In response, Fang Dewen stated that, going forward, Guangtong will give priority to meeting New Silk Road’s demand for silkworm seeds. Following this, the two sides exchanged views on the future development model for artificial-feed silkworm rearing and the challenges that need to be addressed. Fang Dewen detailed Guangtong’s achievements in selecting and breeding artificial-feed silkworm varieties, developing feed formulations, rearing original silkworms, and introducing new male silkworm strains. Both parties agreed to deepen communication, strengthen collaboration, ensure high-quality rearing of multi-silk-yield varieties, actively explore new models for artificial-feed silkworm rearing, and strive for mutually beneficial cooperation.
