Uniting Hearts and Pooling Strengths to Move Forward into the New Era: Guangtong Group’s 2024 Work Summary and Commendation Conference Held with Great Fanfare in Qingzhou City

We march forward with triumphant strides, undeterred by mountains or seas; we press ahead on the crest of the tide, unbound by the limits of sun and moon! It is only from the summit of towering peaks that we behold the mighty rivers surging forth, and only atop the highest ridges that we truly feel the sweeping power of the boundless winds! As the old year draws to a close, a new chapter is about to unfold. Standing at the threshold of the new year, filled with hope and resolve, on December 30th, Guangtong Group solemnly convened its 2024 Work Recognition and Summary Conference in Qingzhou City. More than 140 Guangtong employees from various business segments across the province and beyond attended the meeting to review the successes and shortcomings of 2024 and to jointly map out the strategic plans for 2025.

At the event, everyone was neatly dressed, with happy smiles on their faces. The bright red scarves symbolize the sense of fulfillment among Guangtong employees and also embody their hopes for the future.

Sing the praises of our motherland and extol Guangtong. At the meeting, all attendees rose to their feet and sang the national anthem in unison, followed by a collective recitation of Guangtong’s mission, core values, and breeding ethos. They then solemnly took an oath: “We pledge unwavering loyalty to our motherland and to Guangtong, dedicating ourselves to the prosperity of the nation and the well-being of our employees…” This resolute and powerful oath was the most heartwarming balm in the depths of winter, inspiring every member of the Guangtong family to forge ahead with courage and determination.

The laughter, the sweat, and the tears along the way will all transform into an unwavering resolve and an inexhaustible source of motivation, propelling Guangtong forward with courage and determination!

Recognizing and commending outstanding individuals and teams serves as a powerful source of inspiration. A total of 63 individual recipients were honored with awards such as the “Special Contribution Award,” “Breeding Craftsman Award,” “Sales Elite Award,” “Innovation and Progress Award,” “Outstanding Employee Award,” “Dedication Award,” “Rising Star Award,” “Outstanding Communist Party Member,” and “Guangtong Model of Civilization,” along with two teams that received the “Outstanding Team Award.” This recognition not only boosts morale and motivates employees but also underscores Guangtong’s corporate culture of integrity, ethical conduct, and upright spirit.

Lian Haigang, Chairman of Guangtong Group, delivered a work report titled “Recognize the Situation, Seize Opportunities, and Act in Accordance with the Trend to Pursue Development; Deepen Reform, Uphold Fundamental Principles while Innovating, and Unite Hearts and Pool Strengths to Move Forward.” The report commended the hard work and achievements of all business segments of Guangtong Group in 2024. Emphasizing “action” as the top priority and “pragmatism” as the core, the report underscores the need for continuous and sustained deepening of reform and innovation, laying out a strategic blueprint for Guangtong’s future development and providing clear guidance on how Guangtong employees should “get to work.”

In the new year, Guangtong will pursue meticulous cultivation, painstaking refinement, and relentless pursuit of excellence—embracing a true spirit of perfectionism. When spring blossoms are in full bloom and mulberry groves stretch green across the land, Guangtong’s breeding artisans will, with diligent hands, innovative pens, wise insight, and burning passion, paint the most beautiful chapter in Guangtong’s storied legacy!

Representatives from key business segments shared their thoughts on “getting things done”—after all, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Ten representatives, including outstanding employees and leaders from the production and sales divisions, delivered statements on how they will “get things done” in 2025. As long as we dare to dream and are committed to action, the future holds limitless possibilities for Guangtong.

Eleven key division heads signed their military orders on the spot. The “Yunnan Corps,” the “Guizhou–Guangxi Corps,” the “Shandong Corps,” and the “Industrial Expansion Corps”—the “Four Major Production Corps”—received their battle flags and pledged their resolve. The clarion call for Guangtong’s all-out, relentless drive in 2025 has sounded, and the drums of battle are now thundering!

Fang Dewen, Executive Director of Guangtong Group, delivered a New Year address titled “When the Mountain Flowers Bloom in Full Splendor,” in which he reflected: “The path Guangtong has traveled: How many vicissitudes have unfolded over the ages—yet the spring waters flow eastward without pause; the new path ahead: When mountains rise and rivers wind, one may think the way is lost—but amid the willows and blossoms, another village emerges; the road forward: Though the passes are steep and the journey long, they are as firm as iron—now we take a fresh step and begin anew; and the road to the future: When the mountain flowers bloom in full splendor, it will be the time when myriad blooms turn toward the sun.” With heartfelt sincerity, he recounted Guangtong’s past, present, and future, illuminating the inner journey of this century-old enterprise as it has persevered, inherited its legacy, and continued to grow and thrive.

The grand and enthusiastic work-summary and recognition conference drew to a close with a rousing chorus of “Unity Is Strength.” The people of Guangtong, when united, are a blazing fire; when dispersed, they shine like stars across the sky.

As the red sun rises, its radiance shines ever more brightly. Guided by the principles of “openness, innovation, collaboration, and win-win cooperation,” Guangtong Group will join forces with China’s leading cocoon and silk enterprises on the path toward high-quality development of the sericulture industry: celebrating each other’s strengths and thriving together in harmony!
