Investment Promotion Delegation from Xincheng County, Guangxi Visits and Inspects Guangtong Group

　　On February 25, Shen Guozhang, County Mayor of Xincheng County in Guangxi, led an eight-member investment promotion delegation to visit and inspect Guangtong Group. The delegation was accompanied by Lian Haigang, Fang Dewen, Xu Shanting, Chang Wenyong, and other representatives from the group. During the visit, the delegation toured Guangtong Group’s headquarters cold storage facility and production base, gaining firsthand insights into silkworm egg refrigeration, the seed-production process, and the mechanized production of silkworm eggs. Fang Dewen provided a detailed briefing to the delegation on Guangtong Group’s development history, new varieties of domestic silkworms, silkworm egg production, as well as the research, development, and operation of mechanized technologies.

　　Following the tour, the two sides held a symposium to discuss the Xincheng County Modern Industrial Park construction project. First, Lian Haigang provided a detailed briefing to the visiting delegation on the Group’s current efforts and achievements in artificial-feed sericulture and variety research and development. Subsequently, County Magistrate Shen Guozhang, on behalf of the delegation, expressed gratitude for Guangtong Group’s warm hospitality, noting that the Shandong visit had been well worth the trip and yielded substantial gains: first, a renewed appreciation for the profound cultural heritage of Shandong and Qingzhou; second, high recognition of Guangtong Group’s technological strength and innovative accomplishments—its deep commitment to the sericulture industry and continuous breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation have enabled the company to remain vibrant after more than a century; and third, a hope that Guangtong Group will promptly establish new, high-quality productive forces in the sericulture sector in Xincheng, Guangxi, thereby supporting the county’s high-quality development of the sericulture industry. At the same time, he urged all relevant county-level departments to proactively provide coordination and support services to accelerate the project’s implementation.

　　Finally, the two parties reached a consensus on the specific implementation plans for the next phase of the Xincheng County Modern Industrial Park construction project.
