Shanxi Province Sericulture Industry Science and Technology Delegation Visits Guangtong Group

February 28 In the morning, a 10-member Shanxi Provincial Sericulture Science Research Institute–led delegation on sericulture technology, headed by Director Wang Dong of the Shanxi Provincial Sericulture Science Research Institute and Director Liu Weihong of the Yangcheng County Sericulture Industry Development Center in Shanxi Province, paid a visit to Guangtong Group. The delegation was accompanied by Lian Haigang, Fang Dewen, Chang Wenyong, and Xu Shanting from the Group.

The delegation visited a series of facilities, including the Group’s Production Headquarters’ mechanized production workshop, the Group’s cold-storage facility for the refrigerated storage and acid-soaking of silkworm eggs, the Quality Inspection Center’s silkworm-egg quality-testing laboratory, and the artificial-feed silkworm-rearing workshop. Subsequently, the group convened in the Group’s conference room for a symposium and exchange. Lian Haigang of the Group provided an overview of Guangtong’s production and operations as well as its future development, while Fang Dewen outlined the status of artificial-feed silkworm rearing in terms of feed formulation, silkworm varieties, equipment, and rearing techniques. Director Wang and Director Liu commended Guangtong’s achievements, reviewed the historical evolution and current state of Shanxi Province’s sericulture industry, and expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation and exchanges with Guangtong. They also extended an invitation to Guangtong Group to visit Shanxi for further study and collaboration, with the aim of jointly promoting the high-quality development of the sericulture sector.
