Silkworm Expert Feng Jiaxin Visits Guangtong

On July 8, Professor Feng Jiaxin, a 94-year-old sericulture expert from Zhejiang University, visited Guangtong Group to share his expertise, accompanied by company officials including Lian Haigang, Fang Dewen, Yan Suidong, and Huang Haiye. The delegation toured the artificial-feed workshop to discuss sericultural feeding practices and then inspected the group’s cold-storage facility, offering guidance on the pickling, sorting, and refrigeration of silkworm eggs. During the visit, Professor Feng expressed full appreciation for Guangtong Group’s rapid progress in the sericulture industry over recent years. Subsequently, the group convened in the second-floor conference room for a roundtable discussion. At the symposium, the company’s key business units engaged in in-depth exchanges with Professor Feng on technical issues such as silkworm-egg refrigeration, acid-soaking, original-seed breeding, and silkworm-egg particle inspection. Professor Feng provided comprehensive answers to the technical questions raised by Guangtong Group. Finally, Professor Feng was invited to inscribe a message in Guangtong Group’s publication, “Collected Works on Sericulture Research (Continued).” Mr. Lian, the company’s CEO, once again extended his gratitude to Professor Feng for his visit and for his outstanding contributions to the development of the sericulture industry in China and worldwide.
