GK2 is a variety developed by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which has a high tolerance to Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV) at the genetic level,its parent egg is Qiufeng×Baiyu.It’s a bivoltine Bombyx mori F1 hybrid.The variety have strong physique,good anti-pus ability,good fluoride resistance,but it’s sensitive to pesticides.The silkworms Hatch,sleep,wake up uniformly.They can eat mulberry leaves quickly and have fast cocoon-making speed, easy to raise,The body of silkworm is large, the body color of the adult silkworm is bluish white,Mature silkworms have more urine output.The whole instars of silkworm is about 22 days.Cocoon yield is high, cocoon shape is medium,cocoon layer is tight,cocoon shape is uniform, shape is ellipsoid or slightly bundle, shrinkage is medium,cocoon layer rate about 22%,cocoon silk length is about 1070 meters.Its reelability rate is about 85%,its reelability length is about 860 meters,its filament size is 2.8D, and its neatness is 95.

Young silkworm suitable temperature:28℃-29℃,humidity :92-94%,
Grown silkworm suitable temperature:26℃-27℃%,humidity:84-87%.
