Symposium on the Research and Development of Artificial Feed for Rearing Silkworms Held at Guangtong Group
On the afternoon of September 1, a delegation of six—Professor Lu Cheng from Southwest University, Professors Cui Weizheng and Liu Qingxin, Associate Professors Zhang Shengxiang and Yan Yinfa from Shandong Agricultural University, and Director Zhang Guizheng from the Guangxi Sericulture Technology Extension Station—visited Shandong Guangtong Silkworm Seed Group to conduct a site visit and hold discussions on the research and development of artificial-feed rearing technology for silkworms in their early stages. They were accompanied by Fang Dewen, Chang Wenyong, Xu Shanting, Guan Ruiying, and Guo Zhaoyi from the Group.
The Group Company Held a Work Summary Meeting for the First Half of 2024
On July 12, the Group held a work summary meeting for the first half of 2024 in the second-floor conference room. More than 50 people attended the meeting, including members of the Board of Directors of Guangtong Silkworm Seed Co., Ltd., the Asset Operation Steering Committee, the Board of Trustees of the Guangtong Chunfeng Industrial Revitalization Fund, and the Production and Operations Steering Committee, as well as heads of various business units, key business personnel, and representatives from the Finance Department and the General Administration Department.
Silkworm Expert Feng Jiaxin Visits Guangtong
On July 8, Professor Feng Jiaxin, a renowned sericulture expert at Zhejiang University who was then 94 years old, visited Guangtong Group to share his extensive knowledge and experience. He was accompanied by relevant personnel from the group, including Lian Haigang, Fang Dewen, Yan Gengdong, and Huang Haiye. The delegation first toured the artificial-feed workshop to examine and discuss feed-based sericulture practices, then visited the group’s cold-storage facility to observe and provide guidance on the processes of acid soaking, sorting, and refrigerated storage of silkworm eggs. Following these visits, Professor Feng expressed full appreciation for Guangtong Group’s rapid development in the sericulture industry over recent years. Subsequently, the group convened a symposium in the second-floor conference room for further exchange and discussion.
The First Session of the 11th Membership Conference of the Shandong Silk Association Was Held Successfully
On June 7, the Shandong Silk Association successfully convened the First Session of its 11th Membership Congress in Zhoucun District, Zibo City. The event was attended by more than 150 representatives, including leaders from silk-related enterprises and institutions across the province—engaged in sericulture, silk production, processing, trade, and distribution—as well as from research institutes and universities, industry experts and scholars, and invited delegates from silk associations and related industry organizations in several provinces and municipalities nationwide, along with government officials and representatives from relevant departments. In addition, silk industry associations from 11 provinces and municipalities, including Yunnan and Chongqing, as well as the Shandong Provincial Ceramic Association, sent congratulatory letters to the congress.
Mr. He Ruimin, General Manager of Zhejiang Babe Group, and Mr. Wei Nianguang, General Manager of Guangxi Jialian Silk Co., Ltd., led a delegation to visit and exchange views with Guangtong Group.
On the afternoon of June 7, Mr. He Ruimin, General Manager of Zhejiang Babe Group, and Mr. Wei Nianguang, General Manager of Guangxi Jialian Silk Co., Ltd., along with their delegation, visited Guangtong Group for a tour and exchange. They were accompanied by Mr. Lian Haigang, Mr. Fang Dewen, and Mr. Chang Wenyong from the Group. The delegation first toured the artificial-feed workshop to examine the current varieties of artificially formulated feed being used; they then proceeded to the third-floor conference room of the Group for a symposium and exchange.
