Investment Promotion Delegation from Xincheng County, Guangxi Visits and Inspects Guangtong Group

On February 25, Shen Guozhang, County Mayor of Xincheng County in Guangxi, led an eight-member investment promotion delegation on a visit to Guangtong Group. The delegation was accompanied by Lian Haigang, Fang Dewen, Xu Shanting, Chang Wenyong, and other senior executives from the group. During the visit, the delegation toured Guangtong Group’s headquarters cold storage facility and production base, where they gained firsthand insights into silkworm egg refrigeration, the seed-production process, and the mechanized production of silkworm eggs. Fang Dewen provided a detailed briefing to the delegation on Guangtong Group’s development history, new varieties of domestic silkworms, silkworm egg production, as well as the research, development, and operation of mechanized technologies.

In accordance with the requirements of the “Notice from the Quality Inspection and Testing Center for Sericulture Products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Conducting Random Quality Inspections of Mulberry Silkworm Seeds for Production in 2025,” on the morning of January 7, 2025, Deputy Director Zhang Meirong of the Quality Inspection and Testing Center and Director Wang Xin of the Quality Inspection Center of the Jiangsu Provincial Silkworm Seed Management Institute, accompanied by Section Chief Zhao Ruixue of the Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Center, Deputy Secretary Zhang Yuntao of the Weifang Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Center, Section Chief Wang Aiguo of the Fruit and Tea Section, Director You Debao of the Qingzhou Municipal Agricultural Technology Extension Center, and Section Chief Wang Xiaojin of the Fruit Tree Section, conducted on-site sampling of the 2025 spring–summer mulberry silkworm seeds at the cold storage facility of Guangtong Group. Relevant personnel from the Group, including Chang Wenyong, Guo Zhaoyi, and Li Rendang, participated in this sampling operation.

Standing at the threshold of the new year, filled with hope and resolve, on December 30th Guangtong Group solemnly convened its 2024 Work Recognition and Summary Conference in Qingzhou City. More than 140 Guangtong employees from various business segments across the province and beyond attended the meeting to review the successes and shortcomings of 2024 and to jointly map out the strategic plans for 2025.

On December 21, Zhongjian Xinke Mulberry Silkworm Biological Industry Co., Ltd. and Guangtong Silkworm Seed Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Changsha. The agreement was signed by Fan Maolin, Chairman of Zhongjian Xinke, and Lian Haigang, Chairman of Guangtong Silkworm Seed Group, with Liu Feichi, Director of the Hunan Provincial Sericulture Research Institute, serving as a witness. The two parties reached consensus on the production and supply of silkworm seeds, marking another significant milestone for Zhongjian Xinke in the silkworm seed sector.

Guangtong Group Holds a Special Symposium on Disinfection and Disease Prevention Techniques for Domestic Silkworms

On the afternoon of December 9, 2024, Guangtong Group convened a technical seminar focused on disinfection, disease prevention, and poisoning prevention in domestic silkworm rearing, with the participation of more than 50 professional technicians. To ensure the success of this technical exchange, Guangtong Group proactively collected relevant presentation materials in advance, receiving over 30 technical papers. During the meeting, 10 representatives from among the professional technicians shared their insights, drawing on practical production experience to thoroughly analyze the implementation of detailed operational management, identify gaps and address deficiencies, summarize lessons learned, and formulate plans for next year’s work.
